Don't miss the 'Movies Under the Stars' season finale at Flint City Hall

FLINT, MI–There is still time to celebrate summer with the season finale of the popular "Movies Under the Stars"  series.

The family-friendly events organized by Communities First showcase free movie nights at outdoor locations throughout the community. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the show.

The final showing is "Moana"  Aug. 24 on the back lawn of Flint City Hall. Movies also were hosted this summer at Applewood Estates and Kettering University's Atwood Stadium. A bag of popcorn, drink and candy will be provided.

This is the fifth year for Movies Under the Stars in Flint.  All movie nights begin with a pre-party featuring lawn games, dancing, music, and other activities starting at 7:30 p.m. The films starts at dusk.  The event is free, but donations are accepted.

"Providing free and low-cost entertainment for families is very important to the organization," said Glenn Wilson, president and CEO of Community First. “Movies Under the Stars is more than just an event ... We’ve built an experience that the community looks forward to each year. We are thrilled to be celebrating our fifth year of this fantastic community-building activity.”
