FLINT, Michigan—Focusing on your mental well-being for an evening at the second annual “M;nd Ya Mental Experience” presented by When U Pray, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22, 2019.

The mental health expo is free and open to the public at the Greater Flint Arts Council, 816 S. Saginaw St., Flint. The community is encouraged to participate in mini yoga sessions, massage chairs, and speed counseling.

The event is hosted by Lev Hunter and features speakers -- including George Conway II, the owner/operator of  ReImage Collective Counseling LLC; teacher, mentor and choreographer Sharita Galloway; and Jaylyn Boone -- who hope to educate, uplift and empower through shared experiences.

When U Pray is operated by CEO TaWanna Anderson and her mother Sheveze Anderson. Since being diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder in April 2016, TaWanna Anderson has made it her mission to empower those who are suffering with anxiety and depression.

“M;nd Ya Mental Experience was birthed to help educate the community about mental health. To give individuals the tools needed to know what a mental illness is and where to go to get help,” she said.
