FLINT, Michigan — The City of Flint is set to launch '
Wellness Wednesday,' a new initiative aimed at improving the health and well-being of local residents. Starting on Wednesday, June 25, this free weekly program will take place every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Clio Road Community Service Center, located at 4805 Clio Road.
'Wellness Wednesday' is designed to provide Flint residents with accessible health services and resources in a familiar, community-centered environment. As part of the City’s ongoing efforts to address public health and promote community wellness, this initiative will offer a variety of free health screenings and services.
Each week, a licensed Nurse Practitioner will be available to conduct:
- Blood pressure assessments
- Body Mass Index (BMI) evaluations
- Medication reviews
- General health consultations through “Ask the Provider” sessions
- Depression and mental health screenings
A health navigator will also be on-site to help residents connect with valuable resources, including the distribution of free water filters to promote access to clean water.
'Wellness Wednesday' is open to all Flint residents, providing an accessible platform for health screenings, education, and support.
For more information, residents are encouraged to contact the City of Flint Office of Public Health at (810) 410-2020.
