Valley Area Agency on Aging to celebrate Senior Power Day 2024 in May

With a focus on enjoyment, education, and empowerment, this year's Senior Power Day takes place on Wednesday, May 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Village in Flint.

FLINT, Michigan — Mark your calendars for the Valley Area Agency on Aging (VAAA) Senior Power Day 2024 taking place on Wednesday, May 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Village (6140 N Bray Rd) in Flint. This year, Senior Power Day promises to be a memorable event, offering a unique opportunity for seniors, disabled adults, and their families and caregivers to gather in a fun and supportive setting.

Attendees can look forward to filling their VAAA bag with valuable information and “swag” while also enjoying lunch to-go and outdoor entertainment.

With a focus on enjoyment, education, and empowerment, attendees will also have the chance to engage with state and local legislators as well as vendors representing a wide range of services from healthcare to financial planning and government agencies.

For over three decades, the Valley Area Agency on Aging has been the driving force behind Senior Power Day and has held it annually in May to coincide with Older Americans Month. This event aims to celebrate and support senior citizens in Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee Counties.
