FLINT, MI--A business opening a new storefront in Flint is bringing parties and painting to the area.
Paints, Chalices, & Hues has been throwing their painting parties since 2015, when Tamika Hicks got the idea that people could come together for some wine, some creativity, and some social interaction. Now her business has grown to the point where she needed a new storefront.
Paints, Chalices, and Hues now has five employees and is located at 3725 S. Saginaw St. near Atherton Road. It is open Thursday-Friday from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday noon-8 p.m.

Hicks said she opened the space to accommodate her clientele and the frequency of her parties. "It was time to have our own space," she said.
Paints, Chalices & Hues also does painting parties at clients homes and other locations. Hicks brings a little different twist to her painting parties. Each party-goer's painting features the same subject matter, but she encourages each artist to add their own unique touch by experimenting with different colors and textures. In the end, Hicks said everyone goes home with their own unique artpiece.
