Holistic addiction recovery community organization plans fundraiser

Serenity House of Flint is hosting its first fundraiser to support the holistic recovery community organization, raise awareness of addiction, share stories of recovery — and have some fun.

Bowling for Recovery is 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at B’s Bowling in Flint. The cost is $15 for youth and $20 for adults, which includes shoe rental, two games, one pizza, and a pitcher of pop for each lane.

The event will also feature New Paths recovery cach Jenna Pillow who will share her story of recovery.

The Serenity House was founded in 2015 by Tara Moreno with a mission to advocate for people in addiction recovery as well as provide holistic care and recovery support services to our community.

“One of the best experiences of my 5 ½ years of recovery was learning how to have fun sober. This event brings together the Recovery community with the generous organizations that donate their time and money to support people in Recovery,” says Nicole Stroub, secretary of The Serenity House of Flint.

The Serenity House of Flint is a 501c3 organization, licensed prevention program, and is a recognized recovery community organization through the national program the Association of Recovery Community Organizations.

Tickets are available at the door or reserve your spot in advance by emailing [email protected].
