A look back at Flint's first Dinner Under the Lights

FLINT, Michigan — Take a look at these 13 photos from the first Dinner Under the Lights in Buckham Alley. The fundraiser by Friends of the Alley featured an upscale, five course Vietnamese-Soul Food dinner in the 600 block of Buckham Alley.

Peter McFray mixed the sounds in the alley. Dinner was served family style with catering provided by local chefs Tony Vu, owner of MaMang restaurant in the Flint Farmers' Market, and Therman Sisco, owner of Sisco's Catering.The menu featured a five-course meal of Vietnamese-Soul Food fusion.Local attorneys also helped sponsor the event. Here Marcus Randolph (left) shares a laugh as well as a chick pea salad and noodle salad with other guests. The dinner included a formal place setting, gold candelabras, craft beers, and a variety of wines.Diners also got to see the alley and downtown skyline transform at sunset. Next up for Friends of the Alley is the annual Alley Fest, which brings an even larger party to both Buckham and Brush alleys on July 13, 2019.
