16th Annual Basic Needs Fair will connect Flint residents with vital resources

FLINT, MI — The Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library, is set to host the 16th Annual Community Basic Needs Fair on Saturday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library, located at 1026 E. Kearsley St.

Bringing together more than 30 local organizations, the event will offer free resources and services to Flint residents, covering family support, healthcare, financial services, and workforce development. Attendees will also have opportunities to win door prizes, receive giveaways, and engage in various activities.

The fair is sponsored by Centre of Lily Medical Day Spa, Genesee Health System, McLaren Flint, Michigan United, and Molina Healthcare.

“This event is about ensuring that our community has access to the essential services they need,” organizers said. “We encourage everyone to attend and take advantage of the free resources available.”

The Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a public service organization, has been serving the community for more than 70 years.
