FLINT, Michigan — On Saturday, Dec. 10, Heart of Worship Dance Studio is “leaving it all on the dance floor” for their 5th annual dance recital at The Whiting Auditorium (1241 E Kearsley St.) in Flint. And this year, the dance studio plans to come even bigger.

Since 2018, Porcha Clemons, owner of Heart of Worship Dance Studio, has established an intentional purpose when it comes to bringing kids in.

“Us having the opportunity to dance at the Whiting, this is really big,” said Clemons. “This has been a dream. I’m feeling like Tyler Perry right now! I created Heart of Worship to give a safe place for students, and an outlet for them to be able to come and dance throughout the week.”

With a team who has been helping Clemons, more than 80 students who have been training since August will hit the stage.

“I’m looking forward to the kids having fun. They've been working so hard all year and they’ll be able to see hard work pays off.”
