Sloan Museum to open Rainforest Adventure Maze at Courtland Center

Sloan Museum will open its newest exhibit — The Rainforest Adventure Maze — at Courtland Center Mall on Saturday, Jan. 19. Admission is free for Genesee County residents.

“After the great success of our dinosaur exhibit, we are very excited to continue presenting fun learning experiences at Courtland Center Mall,” said Todd Slisher, executive director of Sloan Museum.

The exhibit includes two interactive mazes: Rainforest Adventure and Tropical Odyssey, both were created by Minotaur Mazes and include the full of the sights and sounds of a tropical rainforest as well as puzzles and physical challenges (for both children and adults).

In Rainforest Adventure, visitors will travel through the four layers of the rainforest and meet many different inhabitants. In Tropical Odyssey, visitors follow the lifecycle of a butterfly as they learn about sustainable and unsustainable rainforest practices. Visitors will also rescue caterpillars from predators, help feed the caterpillars, solve puzzles, and zipline through the rainforest.

Rainforest Adventure Maze will be open at Sloan Museum at Courtland Center from Jan. 19 through April 24, 2019. Hours are 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is free for Genesee County residents and members through a sponsorship provided by Genisys Credit Union and Moby Dick Pet Store. Non-resident tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for kids ages 2-11.
